I was looking at the netbooks the other day and I reckon that that is something that I want to get. I only really use my computer to use the internet, write term papers, and once in a while watch movies. I know that they are mainly designed for the internet, though. Would it work for the things I’ve listed to use it for?

I have had my netbook since may and I’ve been very satisfied. I watch tv shows and movies online all the time on my netbook. I also thought it might be slow, but it has been suprisingly quick and simple to use. I would certainly recommend getting the acer aspire one- thats what i have and it works fantastic! I had read tons of reviews before choosing this one, and nearly all of them said this one was the best. And indeed it is. also, i got the 10.1 inch and i reckon the screen is the perfect size for movies and shows. Plus its cheap (as all netbooks are)- only $350!

well the netbooks usually come with very small space on the hard drive so you wouldnt really be able to store to much on it but if you got one with a larger enough hard drive you probably place a word processer on it but you would want to save everything to a flash drive. As for watching movies I believe that most or all netbooks do not have a cd drive and so you wouldnt even be able to watch one from a dvd(unless you bought an external drive which are really expensive) and also why would you want to? the screen is pretty small and if you wanted to “download” movies to it which I wouldnt suggest since you wouldnt have much space. netbooks are generally could for people who just want a cheaper second computer for just surfing the web everywhere. If you wanted a cheap laptop i would look at overstock.com ‘s refurbished ones theyre pretty much new but just a lot cheaper.
