Are laptops used at all during class for notes ect. or do most people still use pen and paper for notes?
It really depends on your Instructor.
I’ve had quite a few teachers who really encourage taking notes with your laptop. Though, there are also those that look down on it.
To be safe, always double check with your instructor.

Being a college student
Frankly, unless you have stellar/world class typing skills (more than 150-plus WPM) I’d leave the laptop at home and get by the ancient-fashioned way.
I had some classmates try, and they couldn’t come close to keeping up – and people will get really tired really quick of asking them to borrow their notes.

I used my laptop to take notes in most of my classes. I’m really slow at writing by hand and could take a lot more notes if I used my computer. The only problem was that there was internet everywhere on campus so I got distracted by the internet really easily.. don’t make the same mistake I did! lol
