Does Ebay Have A Good Service Record For Selling Used, new, & Refurbished Laptops?
I am interested in a new laptop, and they start at more than $500 and I want a cheaper laptop

Some of the products mentioned use affiliate links, for which we receive compensation when you make a purchase. In no case does this cause you to pay extra for a product, or cause us to give a favorable review or recommendation to a product that we think is inferior.

no, there is a lots of complaint against ebay, specially ebay india (ebay.in) I am not very sure about ebay USA, but as far as I know that buying costly computer parts from ebay is not very secure because of fraud, I am sending few links, check it.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales…http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3078461/
This kind of thousands incedent happned every year, my personal suggession is that if you want to buy laptop then just walk for some excellent shop instead of this kind of website.
A small research needs to be done, that’s all. Get a specialist magazine for reviews of models in your price range and see if reputable ebay sellers, with substantially excellent feedback from previous sales of similar items, have better deals. Make sure their descriptions match the magazine reviews of the products, don’t buy from abroad, don’t use direct bank transfer, do use paypal.
The vast majority of sellers on ebay are every bit as reliable and usually more honest than high street (and back street) stores. The tiny number that aren’t, have small account histories and terrible feedback. Just be careful.
Oh. … And whatever you do, never ever ever buy anything ever from Cash Converters… ever.
Well 1st thing Ebay doesn’t sell anything. The people that are registered on Ebay do all the selling. And yes I would say 10% or more of the time people do get the crappier end of the deal. I recently bought a fantastic deal @ bestbuy AMD Dual Core 2.4Ghz , 1gb mem, 100gb hdd DVD DL burner w/lightscribe, wireless and HP for only $539 NO REBATES…And sold it on EBAY for $937 + shipping because on HP site they were selling from them for $1078…So sometimes you can just look at the rating and how many sells they have and to who/…somepeople will bid on there own stuff from friends to make themselves look excellent on paper but are scammers. If someone has over say 200 feedbacks and is over 98% rating thats pretty excellent ..Thanks
Buy new.Watch the Sunday papers for sales.
No it doesn’t.
Unfortunately selling computers on eBay is a two edged sword. I used to have a company that did just that – sell laptops on eBay. I was scammed to the tune of over $160,000 in just under 2 months. I couldnt stay in business anymore.
And on top of that, the most scams are done by people selling computers as well on eBay. You might get a box of rocks rather than what you are expecting.
