ok, i got a used apple computer. the real owner did not give e the CD for the computer. Now, my computer is slow, when i want to go to a site, it sometimes disappear/. . . . plz anyone who has a apple computer, please help me
Also, Im not sure of the password. . . the real owner really locked everything!

Sara, there are no MacOs X viruses released. So if you are using MacOs X and not and older version, you have nothing to worry about. In your utilities folder which is in your applications folder, is an application called the disk utility. Run it, have it repair your permissions and verify your hard disk. If it finds a problem, follow the on screen suggestions on how to fix it. You will need a MacOs X CD or DVD to change your passwords and to do a complete repair if needed. Borrow one from somebody or buy one.
Luckly running a mac most virues made for windows will have no effect on you.Not many viruses are written for Macs.
I use windows so sorry that’s all the info i can give about a mac.
Despite what ppl tell you.. viruses can attack a mac just like they can windows.
Symantec offeres antivirus for mac.
