i was buying a laptop from someone and they are telling me about it but dont know what year it is. so i was just wondering what year the IBM thinkpad T42 came out it has a dvd cd player and wifi and has windows XP pro.

Im just wondering what year the dell latitude D600 came out in.

I have a 80 gig Gateway 7320 Laptop which I bought in 2005. The dvd/cd drive doesn’t work. . . . but the computer is in honest condition. The screen flickers when I go it. . . and it needs a new adapter. I want to sell it and buy a new one. It runs quick and everything else is ok. How much do you reckon it is worth?

I am having problems with my system board and want to replace it and the HDD too while I’m at it.
I have an IBM ThinkPad A31p model number 2653-H3U. The laptop is ancient I know, but it ran well up until recently.
I know the OEM is a 60GB IDE HDD, but I’m not real sure about the system board specs.
I’m looking for a excellent balance of cost effectiveness and performance. I’m not really interested in increasing the available HDD space too much. Maybe an 80 or 100GB drive will do.
Another thing I’m trying to determine is will it be worth my time, energy and $$$ to swap these 2 components out, or should I just buy a new laptop?

Just yesterday my keyboard and mouse really went out on my Acer Aspire 4530 laptop. It is still under warranty and hopefully I can get it fixed or get a different computer but today that computer says that there is no battery detected. I unplugged my computer and it shut off. Not only that but some time ago my Crystal Eye webcam stopped working. My huge worry is the batter, how long is the average life of a laptop battery? Should I need a new one now?
