am having the Compaq CQ61-408TX laptop and having the audio issue with this laptop. I am facing the problem in installing audiodriver in Compaq CQ61-408TX laptop. This issue started after iinstalled the Windows 7 operating system by removing the Windows Vista operating system. I am not able to resolve this issue by myself. That is the reason i am here to get the solution of this issue of the Compaq laptop.

The issue that you are facing is that, there is the problem in installing the audio driver for the sound device in this laptop. This Compaq laptop currently has the Windows 7 operating system, previously it was having the Windows Vista operating system. So i reckon you are not installing proper driver software for the audio device compatible with the Windows 7 operating system.

First of all remove all the previous installed audio drivers from the desktop computer system. After that insert the driver disc of the laptop compatible with the Windows 7 operating system in the DVD drive of the laptop. install the driver software for the audio device properly for this laptop. After installing the driver software restart the laptop. This will resolve the issue if the driver software is proper.

If everything is proper meaning that the driver software of the audio device is really compatible with the Windows 7 operating system and then also there is issue in installing the driver software in this Compaq CQ61-408TX laptop then i reckon you should try to install the driver software in the safe mode. Or first restore the system setting to before date on which the laptop was working properly. After that install the driver software again.

You cannot access and repair the Dell Latitude D630 AC Adapter power jack while the motherboard is mounted to the metal bracket, it has to be removed first. In a Dell laptop the power jack is soldered to the motherboard. If the laptop loses power intermittently when you wiggle the power plug, most likely the Dell ac adapter power jack is hurt and has to be repaired. In order to repair the Dell Latitude D630 AC Adapter power jack you’ll have to remove the motherboard.
Remove two screws securing the cooling fan. Disconnect fan cable from the motherboard. Remove the fan. Remove one screw securing the power button board. Lift up the board and disconnect it from the motherboard. Loosen three (red) screws and remove one (green) screw securing the heat sink. Remove the heat sink.
Remove four screws securing the hard drive bracket. Lift up the bracket and disconnect it from the motherboard. Remove two screws securing the Dell Latitude D630 AC Adapter speaker assembly. Remove one screw securing the motherboard. This screw is located on the left side from the Dell Latitude D630 AC Adapter power jack.
Start separating the motherboard from the metal bracket. The motherboard has been removed. Now you can access the Dell AC Adapterpower jack and repair it. If the power jack is broken, you’ll have to replace it with a new one. If the Dell Latitude D630 AC Adapter power jack is loose, you’ll have to resolder it to the motherboard.

have been using IBM thinkpads for a while now and have never faced such problem. I have an IBM thinkpad which is installedwith Windows Xp on it. Last night the thinkpad shut itself down while working and now it does not turn on. All the LEDS on the thinkpad glow when power button is pressed. Can anyone here clarify me What is the problem with dead IBM ThinkPads? Any help is highly appreciated. 

It is possible that the battery of the laptop is out of charge due to which the laptop is not booting. Sometimes the battery of the laptop does not get charged when connected to the AC adapter. If such a situation occurs then the system will only work till there is enough charge in the battery. Connect the laptop to the AC adapter and let the battery charge for about 3 to 4 hours. Disconnect it from the AC adapter and check if the laptop is booting. 

If the system is not able to access the RAM chips then it will not be able to start. The files which are required for the operating system to boot are first loaded in the system RAM and are then executed from there. Hence if the system RAM is inaccessible then the system will not boot. Open the laptop and remove the RAM chips from its respective slots and clean the connecting terminals.Replace the RAM chip back in its slot and boot the system. If there are multiple RAM chips then try and boot the system using single RAM chip at a time. If for any RAM chip if the system does not boot then discard the RAM chip as it may be faulty. 

As the laptop was working when it shut itself down, I suspect that there is some heating issue related to it. If the internalcomponents of the laptop gets heated up beyond the threshold level then the system will shut itself down to prevent hurt to the internal components. In this situation I would suggest that you take the thinkpad to the nearest service center and get itchecked. If there is any hardware failure associated to the problem, it will be solved for free if the laptop is under warranty. Otherwise some charges will be levied. 

The motherboard of the computer is responsible for all the functions which are carried out by the computer. Hence for proper working of computer, the motherboard should work properly. If the motherboard is not working properly, then the system will give problems which are similar to the one which you are facing. Get the motherboard of the laptop checked and see if it is faulty or not. If the motherboard is faulty then you will have to get the motherboard replaced. 

Most of the laptops face the problem with residual charge storage. Residual charge gets stored near the RAM chips and other components on the motherboard. If the residual charge stored on the laptop reaches the threshold level then the system will not be able to access all the components and hence will not boot. To bring the laptop back to working state, you will have to clear the residual charge of the laptop. To clear the residual charge from the laptop, shut down the laptop and remove the battery. Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. Replace the battery and check if the laptop is booting or not.

According to me the power bank on the laptop must not be working properly due to which the system is not able to power up. Power bank situated on the motherboard of the laptop must not be able to provide right voltage levels to all the components which are connected to the computer. Hence when you are pressing the power button the system is not able to provide right amount of voltage and hence it is not powering up. Ge the powerbank on the motherboard checked and if it is faulty, get it replaced. Replacing the powerbank will solve the problem.

am having the Sony VAIO FE-35S laptop and this laptop has stopped working unexpectedly. the laptop is not booting up. The power indicator is showing the green light as usual but the laptop is not starting. The fan of the system is not running. and there is nothing on the screen of the laptop.
