I cannot get past the log on screen on a used laptop, as it is password protected. It has Windows 2000 operating system and the screen says to hit cntl, alt, delete to continue, then it questions for screen name and password. We are going to outline the steps needed to remove laptop lcd screen on your Compaq Presario.   The tools we will need is a phillips head screw-driver and a sharp object to lift up rubber coverings.
First we will open the laptop and take a look at the LCD screen in an opened state.   Take not of 6 rubber coverings, they are very small and the same color as the frame on the notebook LCD screen.   Use your sharp object to remove all 6 of these rubber casings.   Place them in a safe place you will have to place them back on later. Get the phillips screw driver out and start taking out all 6 screws in the 6 holes we just uncovered.   Take the screws out and place them with the rubber casings that we took out already.
