How Can I Adjust The Volume On My Dell Laptop Using The Keyboard?

I can only figure out how to adjust it using the control panel on Windows. Even though there are three keys on the keyboard that look like volume controls, they don’t work. Do I need to update some software, or is it simpler than that? Thanks.

How Do I Make An External Keyboard Work On Toshiba Satellite?

I have a keyboard – perfectly functionally – left over from a Dell desktop I had a few years ago. I want to plug it into my Toshiba Satellite and type from afar. The keyboard had a PS/2 plug, of course, so I bought a USB adaptor. My laptop (running XP SP2) can’t recognize it. It calls it an unknown device and says I don’t have the drivers for it. I’ve tried to update my keyboard driver, to no avail. What do I need to do to get it working?
