I have a toshiba satellite laptop and trying to connect it to my LCD HDTV, i got the VGA to DVI to HDMI cable adapter and plugged that into my tv but it wont come up on the tv.

i wanna connect my Sony vaio that has a blue-ray player to my tv (which already did through the HDMI ) but how can i connect a home theater through that too i f i only have one hdmi !?
ohh and my tv only has hdmi IN not OUT?

i have a sony vaio vgn-fz180e and i have a hdmi cable and i am trying to connect it to my 72″ mitsubishi 1080p tv. it says that it doesn’t recognize the signal. what do i do ? thank you
