I am interested in a new laptop, and they start at more than $500 and I want a cheaper laptop

I am willing to spend up to $900. I am a student that uses Photoshop a lot and I lifecast 24/7. So I need some speed (preferably 2GB or up) and a built in webcam. Any suggestions?

my dad needs one for work but has never been on a computer before so i will have to teach him and i have never used vista before so it can’t come with vista.

I am just about to start at University this fall, and my current laptop is kinda ancient and won’t even close anymore. I will need to take my laptop to the library and stuff, so I will need something that transports easily. My ancient laptop is a DELL, so obviously I am not so sure about getting another one of those. Also, as a college student, I would appreciate something on the cheaper side. THANK YOU!

I know it sounds like an impossible question but maybe one of you know where I can get a excellent but very cheap laptop. I use to go to the Boeing Surplus store here in WA but they closed it and I can’t get cheap computers anymore. Do you know where you can get a excellent but cheap laptop? Looking under $500 (the cheaper the better)
