I am currently trying to find a cheap laptop for myslef and i was wondering if there is any Websites out there that i can go to and find Nice Refurbished or used Laptop. (other than ebay) I have already checked ebay out and WHY even deal with them, they question for the pirce u pay in the store.
So if you can i would really like to know if there is Website i can go to find some excellent deals on either (NEW, Refurbished, or used) Laptops.

I have a really ancient laptop that I want to sell for a couple of bucks (literally) on eBay or just end up giving away to excellent will.
Either way, I want to make sure any ancient personal information is not stored in this system without my knowledge. What I’m plotting on doing is moving anything I want to keep to another computer. Then do I reformat the hard drive? If so, would that wipe out my copy of Windows (95, I believe)? I want to be sure to leave it so that someone else can use it if they want to, just not with any of my ancient files there. Would you recommend a better way? I also couldn’t find any system restore disks. Do system restore disks really delete your information? etc. . .

i bought a used laptop “as is” on ebay 3 weeks ago, and it just fried. it smells like wires burning. it wont power up. since it was an “as is” sale, there is no way i can get my money back, is there?

Two years ago, more is needed to improve desktop and laptop computer in my company without spending more. New Dell laptops were fantastic but expensive and over the years had accumulated many Latitude C series parts C-series started CPX C600 C400 C610 and C640 models K before the new line of Latitude laptops were released. Yards, stations, and many other attractions are available at any of these patterns, so we chose to take this buy and use Dell laptops. eBay had when we bought them. Over the years I learned some valuable things to buy these products more expensive. Here are some tips and advice, and proved very reliable sellers.
Knowing what to buy.
Do not just go to the machine model and specifications. I see two points there. Those who are ready for PCs that are sold in the units used. We also refurbished units do not have a serial number or the bottom of the BIOS. These units can be a very excellent price, and so far I have found everyone to be very thin. The problem is that without the series can not even get technical support from Dell and, of course, is not guaranteed. If you do not mind that the right seller these are fantastic. Own use for my business, just do not need the visual model without serial number. Now I am passing on these.
It is always more profitable to use Pay Pal or any other service that lets you use your credit card.
Even when using a credit card, PayPal, you can include a dispute and the burden of protecting the new credit card. I have had two cases where the seller does not send my laptop and had to dispute the payment to my credit card company. In both cases, I received a credit back to my company and had no distress from Paypal. Before the official start of the competition with Paypal as they require that, before making a recovery. I'm not sure what the consequences would be, but a better screen if you try to use the system.
Buying a regular basis? Try to connect to a couple reputable sellers.
After a few sellers of business and now I'm relying entirely on eBay. The sellers like the money you can save the fees and often prey on the excellent condition Latitude laptops. Some even customize their data storage device.
Check the sellers feedback.
Show that the seller regularly sells Dell equipment. This tells us two things. One, which is a reputable seller and have had people who bought the same product and were pleased. Another thing is that if you see positive feedback can make similar devices that have no spare parts or service capacity. If you see many sales of similar Dell computers can be sure that if you have a problem, and say promptly, you may be able to fix your laptop.
Question for a guarantee or warranty transfer help.
If you are lucky enough to buy the unit must be a guarantee to the left of Dell. But, Dell does not transfer the warranty should your name unless you are the original owners name and address. If you find a vendor willing to provide just struck gold! Note, this is not common at all. You can get a Dell service and warranty department, not transfer the ownership of his name.
Buy of servers? Search Dell refurbished units with warranty.
I do not know how it works, but there are many resellers of Dell servers, which are new or refurbished from Dell. These will be Dell's warranty and are transferable. When the server reaches its original Dell box still sealed. The price can not be beat, and have never had a problem. I suspect that these real connections, Dell sells the amount of surplus and refurbished units far from the price you want to see their Dell Outlet site.
