Dell Latitude C600 Fan -how To Tell If I Need A New One?

I have noticed that my Dell Latitude C600 gets very hot when left on for a long time. I have not noticed the fan running at all. Does this mean that I need a new fan? Is there something incorrect with the motherboard? A lot of websites that Dell’s just run hot anyways. I really want to sell it but the buyer won’t buy unless the fan is fixed. Will a new fan fix the problem or it something else?

How Do I Get My Keyboard On My Dell Latitude C600 To Work Properly?

I bought a used Dell Latitude laptop, but nothing came of the guides. I realized the function key and so far only works with a temporary key. It does not work the volume or screen brightness. It worked when I used the first few times. I have to press a button that stopped working. Can you tell me what I'd done my keyboard?
The rod in the middle of the keyboard, I suppose that to tap it, and recognizes that, then it worked the first couple of times, now tapping does not work.
Another thing, I went to try to establish a keyboard configuration Dell Direct Access Key, but when I go to the Dell keyboard is not AcccessDirect Key.
What should I do? Could it be that Windows XP does not recognize the keyboard on the right, or the bar? Should I try to install the driver for the keyboard, if so, how?
