So i recently bought a vaio sony computer, which runs on vista. when i bought it they said that i could upgrade for free when the new windows came out. but i am unsure of how to go about it. is there a cd i need to get, or is it available online?

You will be sent a CD (DVD most likely) to install it. Then you can upgrade very easily.
But check with whomever you bought it from to see how you get Windows 7 disk.
u can go to your local store and get a cd to upgrade with ease, or order online
