My IBM T30 Thinkpad comes up with “Fan Error” when I turn it on without the power cord plugged in. I am going to buy a fan online and try to install it myself. Does anyone know the instruction to install a fan in a thinkpad?

unless you have prior notebook opening experience, DON’T DO IT. 90% of the time, the keyboard gets irrepairably disconnected.
