how can i install the wi-fi card on my IBM thinkpad T42 i have just wiped the laptop and the wi-fi card has not been reinstalled. how do i install it manualy ?

Just go out to ibm.com and go to the “support” section. You can search for the driver there. You’ll just need the system model (on the bottom of the notebook) to find the section with the right drivers for your wireless card.
You should be able to just download and run the program and it should install everything for you.
