I Have An Hp Pavilion That Is Designed For Xp. Can My Computer Handle With Being Upgraded To Vista?

My laptop is an hp pavilion, and it has a ticker saying that it is designed for Microsoft Windows XP. Will my computer be able to handle being upgraded to Vista?

Since Vista is a DOWNgrade from XP, don’t. (The computer will run slower, and you’ll gain nothing but a lighter wallet. Assuming HP has drivers for all the hardware for Vista – XP drivers usually won’t work.)

It depends on your Laptop has the specs (you didnt tell us them) but i would recomend atleast 2gb of ram… goto http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/editions/systemrequirements.mspx
but i recomend staying with XP, if you dont like it make sure you have DL both Service pack 1,2,3 trust me itt makes XP rock!

If you dont quite know what your doing, i wouldn’t, heck, i wouldn’t at all, Vista isn’t really a luxury on laptops
nor is it a luxury for anything except graphics

u can download a vista advisor which will tell u if your computer can handle windows vista, but trust me it is not worth upgrading to vista till u really have to
