The 30&quot; Apple Cinema Display&#039;s dual-link DVI input can only receive a digital TMDS video signal.
Your laptop&#039;s VGA port can only send out an analog RGBHV signal, which the 30&quot; ACD cannot use.
A DVI-to-VGA adapter will NOT work.  Those are intended for computer graphics cards with DVI-I outputs that can also send out a VGA signal.</description>
