I have bought a dell Latitude D510 but original owner is no where to be found. . . i called dell but they wont help can anyone help me?

I would download the latest bios for that system and flash the bios, this should not only update it to solve a few small problems that there may have been it should also set the bios back to defaults.
Did you get the manual for the laptop?
Thats not too hard.
Remove the back – cover of your computer, you will find a battery. Remove that cell, wait for 5 mins and connect only the power cord and switch it on. Press del and all options will be reset including the time of your computer
