I see a small mic icon in the bottom right corner of the task bar, but I don’t know how to use it if there is one, and if there isn’t one then why is the icon there? I sorta need one to record something, but I can do without.
Bottom line- I need to know wether or not there’s a mic and how to use it.

Computer tech here….Based on the specs to your laptop from the Dell Support website, your laptop does not have a built-in microphone. It also indicates that it does not have a microphone plug-in port either. The only option you have is a USB type microphone which is available at your local stores if you wish to buy one. If you like to have a webcam as well, best bet is a Logitech webcam with a built-in microphone and of course it uses a USB. Hope this helps.
Don’t expect anyting from dell.
