I questioned my Acer Aspire One, 10 1 Netbook (AOD150-1165) 28 February 2009 from Amazon. The product is delivered on 2 March and arrived March 14.
When questioned for a blue sapphire was available, but I'm satisfied with a blue sapphire. It looks very attractive. Usually a model for either white or black, but I'm glad that was not available:) I can only regret that can easily be fingerprinted, so try not to touch the shiny surfaces.
When unpacking the box and hold it in your hand, you can see how light it is (especially if you are loading 17 "laptop) This is a very portable and is suitable for small airplane tray (or on your lap)
Commission 1 6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor core is a simple but very smart, and certainly more than enough for most office-type use. Netbook comes with Windows XP Home and Vista installed w/SP3 so I'm as responsible as (or better) Core 2 Duo-based notebooks running Vista.
The unit is honestly silent. The noise of the fan or hard disk is minimal. The fan does not fire frequently during normal operation. It could be more active in some heavy CPU / HD-action tasks.
The screen is 1024×600 Crystal Bright (Glossy) LCD type, but very comfortable to read in the light conditions. Integrates with 0 3M-megapixel (640×480) webcam and microphone as part of the screen. Ideal for use video phone / conferencing software such as Skype, etc. BTW, to get some vertical space on the desktop, you might want to insert the taskbar to Auto Hide Windows XP and appears when you go the cursor the edge of the screen.
The keyboard is really quite well designed. Unlike some competitive models, the change of control, alt, tab, enter, backspace keys are in the right places. At first I was a bit small keys, but in a few days of use, you get used to avoid a strike, and two keys. Use the arrow keys would have been slightly higher since there is no place along the bottom right of the keyboard.
Synaptics Touchpad this model is made and is quite configurable. Like everything else, is a bit small, but very acceptable. It would have been better if she got older. Speakers for this netbook is less than that. They are very strong and sound quality is pretty decent. In the openings of the speakers on the bottom of a netbook if you keep it on a soft surface like a carpet or a bed in a choked voice access, because it closes the opening. Not a excellent thought to keep the surface smooth for long anyway, because it prevents the cooling holes and overheat and cause a netbook.
It has 1 GB DDR2 SODIMM RAM module installed (mine was Samsung). No memory soldered on board (the Amazon description is incorrect, and refers to age 8. 9 "model). Memory is easily expandable to 2GB by replacing the DIMM. I upgraded the memory 10 1 "aspire one, install the 2 GB" Mushkin 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Memory – Retail module (part of Mushkin # 991618). Works fantastic! Note that this module is CAS4 (4-4-4-12), rather than scheduling frequent CAS5 (5-5-5-16). In other words, it is slightly quicker than memory, because there's less waiting time for the next:)
HTS543216L9A300 Hitachi HDD 160 GB 2. 5 "5400 rpm, Serial ATA, 8MB disk cache. It is time for silence. I reckon it's a lot of space for most applications. If you need more you can connect an external USB hard drive or upgrade the hard disk itself can nearly as easily as the RAM.
The chip wireless (AR5007EG) have made the Atheros and compatible 802 11 b / g. The selection is pretty decent. I had no doubts about the connection to my home WiFi access point, at work or at any other points of free public access. I used the wifi is a Starbucks, Barnes and Noble bookstore, and McDonald's among other things, (I Get Free WiFi in these places, because I have DSL from AT & T). Some users have reported they have in some cases. Atheros driver is installed by default is the ancient (version 7 6 0 260). The last I've found Wi AR5007EG wireless chipset is version 7 6. 1. 244 (dated 2/25/2009), and I reckon can solve the problems that people experience. (Help, if I have the instructions on the bottom of this review, access to updated drivers) characteristics of the device show that the Wi-Fi chip is set to save energy. Indeed, as memory and hard drive, a wireless module is also available. Who knows, someone (or Acer) came with a replacement module 802 11N, Bluetooth + WiFi combo.

Like many other early adopters, Panasonic laptop was built 5800mAh, 59W battery. It takes 7-8h during normal office type with Wi-Fi. This is a higher capacity battery than you normally ships (4400mAh, 6-cell), but most everyone has a larger one so far.
3x USB 2. 0, 1 10/100 Ethernet port, 1 VGA external monitor and a multi-flash card reader / writer (again, the Amazon description is incorrect 2nd SD card slot). It's also a headphone jack and external microphone and a Kensington-style opening.

I was worried about getting one, because I have a 12 "laptop, and was not satisfied with the size of the screen. But, this screen is so bright, even become a problem, let alone really 1064×600 looks larger!
Another bonus, this baby is 7 5-8 hours, because 5800Amh 6 cell battery! Sweet. Very satisfied. I heard most were sent to 4400Amh 6 cells, which gives 5-6 hours. I use this all day or two before the download, very nice! I have to look at the DIS light battery indicator-the belief that the battery is still 75% or 50%, it only takes forever!
This is a super-portable, of course, and indeed, how the laptop should be. You can place a foot that will not weigh you when you yourself sitting in your lap, which is excellent. I've had many teams in recent years the size of the screen and this wins hands down in price and performance. The unit has a strong heavy compared to some of the more recent cases, a thin plastic computers.
Acer made a Nice mini-notebook will be better. The screen is larger and less bright. The keyboard is still huge (and small). Or a weird parallel to the location of the Shift key (Asus, Lenovo, etc..)
