    DON’T CLICK ON BREBNERS LINK!
Okay, look at the bottom of your laptop. You should see a white Service Tag. In the service tag should be the model no. (MDL No.) the Product Number (P/N), and the Serial Number (S/N)
You can use Belarc Advisor for free also. Just go to Belarc Advisor, and download the tiny small program.
(You can just type belarc advisor in your browser search bar. I’m going to stop giving links for a while, because certain ‘People’ keep putting links to a known virus site, or other crap site on here)
Edit: I’m going to give links anyway. Click on my Chickster avatar, and view my profile page.
I came back to give you a few links that gives you links to Thinkpad Service and Maintenance Manuals.
(Free. Some are from IBM.com/Support. Some are saved on the websites server, and are a PDF download. Just more of a direct link to avoid the hassle of finding it)

Flip the Laptop over and on the bottom should ber a sticker that gives you ALL the details related to the model. Also it is frequently indicated at the top above the keyboard for the ThinkPad Family.
    I Hope this Helps!!!
