I might buy a windows 2000 dell latitude laptop for cheap at a garage sale. Looked quick and worked fine, and was wiped clean. Its a small ancient but im sure i could fix it simple. Are they excellent laptops? All i will be doing is internet a small school work and light gaming. Any suggestions? Comments? Anything will help. Thanks.

You didn’t specify the exact model number so I guess the processor is either a Pentium II or Pentium III. Although ancient, they’re still excellent enough for internet and school work.
As for gaming, they can’t do much in a modern sense. Not sure if it would even handle something as ancient as Sims 2. But it can run classics such as StarCraft or Diablo and can do SNES emulation fine.
Not sure if Wifi was standard on laptops before 2000 so you might have to get a wifi USB or PC card adapter.
