Okay so my computer is literally falling apart. My dad is a proffesional engineer, and he can borrow laptops from his work. The engineers need laptops so they can make diagrams of what needs to be cut from the materials and stuff like that. He’s checking one out.
Now my question is, are laptops that are used for proffesional engineering any excellent? Are they excellent for the sims 3? (he’s allowed to borrow the laptop for as long as he wants)
This depends on how new this laptop is. If it is a recent model, say from last year, then you might have a fighting chance. Anything older, might not have the graphics needed to play Sims 3 comfortably. Laptops set up for engineering are not necessarily fantastic for gaming, as they are intended to run programs geared toward its use, rather than graphics. Engineering programs use graphics of course, but nothing as demanding as what video games question for. Which is why I mentioned how new it is. Chances are you might be lucky, and end up with a laptop that has a recent card that will handle your game.
Fingers crossed X

I realllllllllllly want a macbook. Problem is, theyre too expensive! I looked on eBay, and some of them are about $200 cheaper to buy a used one than a groundbreaking new one at apple. I’ve never bought from eBay.. so I don’t know how safe or excellent it is to buy from it.Help!
I agree with Person.
I would always feel nervous about buying such an item through eBay.
Not to say but that you may get a perfect computer for the right price.
Have you had a look at Apple’s re-furbished computers?

I have two batteries from two laptops, one of which is mine. The laptop models are not the same, but the battery Model No. are the same, and they are both DC 10.8V, 40Wh.
Is it safe to use both batteries for my laptop?
The numbers and specifications are the same & electric contacts are compatible
sounds excellent.

used excellent working condition laptops for export, looking to pay very reasonable price, any help will be appreciated. Am not working, it will help me out.
Scour the Internet for listings on Craig’s list or Kijiji (for Canada), that’s where you find the most reasonable prices for just about anything.

I have two laptops I want to sell them and buy a groundbreaking new one.
Even if there are stores that do that, they will give you close to nothing for your ancient laptops. You are better of trying to sell them on craigslist or e-bay and than just go buy a new one.
All electronics, and computers especially, lose value as soon as you walk out the store with them, so you will get some money for them, but it will be way less than what you paid for them, or what you might hope to get.
I just sold an ancient laptop on craigslist for $120 and I paid $1,500 for it in 2003.
Excellent luck.
